Pedro Catalan

Music composer and producer, guitar performer, and live music lover.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1998, Pedro began his guitar and music theory studies at Ideo Arte under the guidance of Gabriel Dávila and Pablo Díaz. In 2015, he moved to the United States to continue his guitar training, first at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and later at Miami Dade College. During this period, he focused on blues, rock, pop, country, and jazz, studying with renowned instructors such as Bruce Buckingham, Allen Hinds, and Al Bonhomme, among others. He has worked as both a studio and live musician in the United States, Spain, and Venezuela.

In 2018, he relocated to Madrid, Spain, to further his studies in composition at TAI School of the Arts, where he trained with composers such as Israel López Estelche, Tomás Virgós, Alberto Torres, and Rodrigo Faina. During this time, he premiered various works in collaboration with ensembles and soloists including SIGMA Project, Neopercusión, Nuevo Ensemble de Segovia (NeSg), Santiago Cely, and Víctor Belmonte. He has also composed and produced original scores for directors such as Alfredo Picazo, Miguel Alcalde, and Noelia Chañe, among others.

In addition to his work as a composer and producer, Pedro leads Piter Cat, his indie-rock/alternative solo project, where he writes, produces, sings, and performs guitar. He is also part of MOKAs, contributing as a songwriter, producer, guitarist, and vocalist, helping shape the band’s distinctive sound and artistic direction.
